Michael Locke is a director at independent insolvency practitioners Begbies Traynor. Graduating in law from the University of Leeds, he joined the firm in 1997 into the personal insolvency department, where he now heads a team. He has handled over 200 Lloyd's Name bankruptcies in amongst over 1000 separate insolvencies, which include the two leading reported cases on deceased insolvent estates
He specialises in investigative insolvency, seeking to recover money for creditors where bankrupts and directors have sought to frustrate recovery and conceal assets. He speaks regularly on both his experience of handling insolvent deceased estates and tracing funds in estates with a substantial unexplained deficiency.
