Immediate Advice on Your Options
I joined Begbies as an Accountancy graduate from University in 2005. I was looking to join a firm that would give me a platform for career development and provide expertise
and support in the accountancy and restructuring sector. Fourteen years later, I'm still here, as a Chartered Accountant, with my current role as a Director in the business. I continue to enjoy my role within the firm, which has exceeded my expectations. The firm promotes career progression and actively encourages, and facilitates, business development. My role is demanding and the firm have high expectations. However, I work in a supportive environment and feel supported through times of challenge. My goals are to continue to offer the best service we can to our service providers and help develop the employees in our team as we move forward to face the challenges in the sector. Its also important to find the work life balance and I always encourage people to have a sense of humour and have regular team building events, which helps develop rapport within our office.
I joined the Cardiff office of Begbies Traynor in 2008 as an Insolvency Administrator, having previously worked in insolvency for 2 ½ years in a North West top 10 firm.
I have been given the responsibility of managing a varied case load over the last few years, reporting directly to and working alongside the office partners. Begbies fully funded my JIEB exams and actively encourages me to participate in a number of networking events. The partners are very supportive in helping me to further my career and have been very flexible since having returned from maternity leave earlier in the year.
