Graduate Financial Analyst

Job Description

The role will be part of the group’s finance team, providing support to the finance business partner and financial control teams.

  • Provide analysis & commentary on weekly and monthly KPI reports for the group
  • Post accruals, prepayments and other journals as part of the monthly management accounts process
  • Support the finance business partners in monthly and quarterly work in progress review, including preparation of monthly journal and detailed analysis of unusual movements
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, annual budgets, and periodic forecasts
  • Complete cost analysis for offices, reviewing P&Ls, investigating variances and liaising with finance business partners.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Help maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Perform financial analysis to support key business decisions
  • Support project work by analysing financial data to identify trends and patterns and provide insights to management.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Degree with a minimum 2.1 or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Maths, or Business Management or has equivalent experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLookups and Pivot Tables
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • A basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles is desirable
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
