BGN Members in Israel and Poland work together on major cross border case

Our BGN member in Israel, Ofer Shapira of Shapira & Co, has been appointed as receiver on certain assets which include 100% shares of a company holding real estate assets in Poland valued more than NIS 220M (€44M). This project is run in cooperation with Pawel Kuglarz at Beiten Burkhardt, BGN Member in Warsaw, Poland.

Nick Hood, BGN’s Executive Chairman, commented:

“This case is the perfect illustration of the value of BGN as a worldwide association, where Ofer Shapira has been able to reach out to get high quality support from Pawel Kuglarz on a difficult cross border case, where a sound knowledge of an overseas market is the only route to a successful outcome from the realization of assets in a tight real estate sector still badly affected by the aftermath of the global recession, as it is in jurisdictions right across Europe.”
