Business recovery specialists Begbies Traynor has made a key appointment on the back of launching a new office in Milton Keynes.
Marco Piacquadio has taken up the role of appointment taking director at the office, which is based in Exchange House, on Midsummer Boulevard.
The move comes as the firm continues to grow its team across the South of England, and builds on its work within the region's business communities.
Marco, aged 33, who is an experienced insolvency practitioner, will be supported by Begbies Traynor's South West managing partner Julie Palmer.
He said: "I have lived in Milton Keynes all my life, and we are tremendously excited to be growing our team strategically with the opening of another office. I have a very strong network of referrers and contacts across Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire, and that's been incredibly helpful in enabling us to hit the ground running. Begbies Traynor is renowned for combining national expertise with on‐the‐ground local knowledge, which gives us a very attractive and powerful offering.
"As an appointment taking director, as well as picking up existing cases, I will be generating ongoing new enquiries through my referral base, helping the firm to offer clear, robust and independent advice to a wide range of businesses across a variety of sectors. I will also be looking to use Begbies Traynor's additional service lines in restructuring and turnaround, such as the BTG Advisory offering. As a fully qualified insolvency practitioner, I have experience working with top ten firms of accountants, as well as SMEs and boutique practices, so can bring a wealth of experience to firms needing advice, whatever their situation."
Julie Palmer, Begbies Traynor's regional managing partner for the South West, said: "Marco is a great addition to our growing team. The research we undertake shows that financial distress levels continue to grow in companies across the region, and this appointment can only help cement our reputation as the UK's leading independent business recovery specialists."
Outside of work, Marco is married with a son and stepdaughter, and enjoys all sports, particularly golf and football, and is a keen West Ham supporter.
