David is a Chartered Accountant and licenced insolvency practitioner with more than 25 years experience assisting SME’s primarily based in Kent and South London.
After 10 years in general practice, he moved to Moore Stephens, operating as an insolvency practitioner in their Kent office for over 20 years, being a partner for 14 years. He joined CVR in 2017 (prior to their acquisition by Begbies Traynor in 2021) to set up their Kent office alongside Bai Cham.
David advises owner managed businesses in financial distress and works with directors, shareholders, creditors, lenders and other stakeholders on both formal and informal assignments. He has dealt with businesses based in many sectors including amongst others, construction, tech businesses, charities, manufacturing, printing and the motor trade.
David has built close working relationships with accountants and other referrers by offering a high quality and personal service. When they have a client in financial distress, he works closely with them to provide the client with a tailored solution to address their specific circumstances. Whilst David will take formal insolvency appointments in both corporate and personal cases, he will regularly act in an advisory capacity where a formal procedure is not required.
