BTG Begbies Traynor has advised on B S P Labels Limited acquisition from administration by Customark Ltd. on 22 July 2026, ensuring the best outcome for its creditors and securing the jobs of all its employees.
The pre-packaged administration deal for the Hertfordshire-based manufacturer and supplier of bespoke self-adhesive labels, was completed after Simon Lowes and Stephen Powell, partners at BTG Begbies Traynor, were appointed Joint Administrators on 24 June 2026.
Directors at B S P Labels had to make the difficult decision to put the company into administration after falling revenue due to a series of rising costs and the loss of customers. The administrators considered that a pre-packaged sale would result in the best outcome for creditors, including its nine employees. The sale was conducted with the support of BTG Eddisons, the real estate and commercial sales arm of BTG.
B S P Labels was founded in 2000 as Blue Star Pyramid Limited, changing its name in 2005. Acquirer Customark Ltd. was founded in 1968 and delivers from six locations across the UK.
Simon Lowes, Partner at BTG Begbies Traynor, said:
“The company has struggled with a range of issues in its recent history. Chiefly among its challenges were customers switching to overseas suppliers due to Brexit and Covid-19, increased business costs and the loss of a long-term employee with significant trade knowledge and skill.
“After considering multiple options for rescue and revival the company directors were left with little alternative but to place the B S P Labels into administration. After a pre-packaged sales process the best offer came from Customark, which has secured the future of all employees as part of the deal. We wish the very best to the employees and the company as we are sure it has a good future ahead of it.”
