Brett joined Begbies Traynor as a Partner in April 2018 to open the Worcester office. Brett has been working in the insolvency sector since 1995 and passed his insolvency exams in 2006 to become a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. Prior to joining Begbies Traynor, Brett worked for 13 years as a director & owner of a specialist insolvency boutique in the Midlands and prior to that worked as a manager at Baker Tilly (now RSM).
The majority of Brett’s career has been spent advising small to medium sized owner managed businesses, giving impartial and practical advice to directors, drawing on his own experience of business ownership. This background enables Brett to quickly understand & recognise the challenges that are being faced and think creatively about the solution required.
Particular sector experience includes: Manufacturing (advanced & automotive), tax planning/reorganisations, 3rd Sector, Transport & Haulage, Retail & Wholesale, Social Clubs and Deceased Insolvent Estates.
Brett is a Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
