On 1 March 2023, Bai Cham and Gavin Savage, both of Begbies Traynor, were appointed as Joint Administrators of Nursery Connections Limited, the manufacturer and supplier of own brand and branded mattresses for babies.

“Upon appointment, the Joint Administrators successfully completed the sale of the business and certain assets via a pre-pack administrations to Raskelf Ltd, trading as Duvalay, the bespoke mattress company based in Yorkshire.  

“The successful sale of the business by the Joint Administrations ensured the secure transfer of all 34 employees to Raskelf Ltd

Meet the Team

Bai is a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner with more than 16 years’ experience and leads the firm’s Kent office. He began his career in audit with KPMG before moving into insolvency with a practice in Ashford, Kent and joining CVR prior to its subsequent acquisition by Begbies Traynor Group.

Bai has a wide range of experience advising owner managed businesses in financial distress and has worked with directors, shareholders, creditors, and financial institutions on formal and informal assignments across many industry sectors including manufacturing, construction, retail etc.

Bai has also managed complex assignments and takes appointments in all aspects of corporate and personal insolvencies involving contentious and non-contentious issues.

Bai works closely with accountants, solicitors and other referrers and advises clients on a broad range of insolvency matters. He has particular strength in dealing with tax avoidance schemes especially those involving Disguised Remuneration and has recently acted as liquidator on a number of insolvencies arising out of failed tax avoidance schemes.
