We are proud to announce that effective November 1, 2010 the Irvine California Office of Ballenger, Cleveland and Issa which is led by Mike Issa has merged with GlassRatner. The new firm will continue as GlassRatner. Mike Issa is a seasoned and well-respected restructuring and financial advisor with a proven track record. Mike brings other key members of his team to the firm including James Middlemas, Cliff Bream, Kerith Holguin and Robbie Rose.

Retained as Financial Advisor to the Borrower, a national industrial real estate owner, and just completed the restructuring of a $130M syndicated bank loan
Acted as Financial Advisor associated with the buyout of a multi-unit retail chain which received an award for "Retailing Deal of the Year" by Mergers & Acquisitions Magazine
Retained as Plaintiff's Expert Witness in a recent case involving fraudulent conveyances. Mr. Issa's client received an eight-digit jury award based in large measure on Mr. Issa's testimony in the matter
Retained on several recent occasions to liquidate and wind down franchised auto dealerships on behalf of secured lenders
Retained as Financial Advisor to a bank creditor in a real estate Bankruptcy matter. Mr. Issa's work resulted in the bank being paid in full
Julie is a law graduate who qualified with Price Waterhouse in 1994. Julie joined Smith & Williamson in 1997 and became a partner in 2001. With Mike Stevenson, Julie set up Middleton Partners offices in Salisbury and Southampton, both of which are now part of Begbies Traynor.
Julie is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and is a Fellow of The Association of Business Recovery Professionals. Julie deals with all aspects of Corporate Recovery and turnaround work and takes all form of personal insolvency appointments.
