On Wednesday 11 September 2013, Julie Palmer and Jason Greenhalgh of Begbies Traynor LLP were appointed by the High Court as joint liquidators of Industry RE Limited, on the application of the Secretary of State and following intervention from the Public Interest Unit.

The role of the joint liquidators is to lead new investigations into the conduct of Industry RE’s director Ian Hamilton and the trading activities of the company, with the aim of recovering investors’ funds.

On behalf of the joint liquidators, Julie Palmer said: “Concerns have been raised about the trading activities of this company and the whereabouts of assets purchased with funds provided by a large number of private investors. As part of our investigation, for which we are in the early stages, we would be interested in hearing from anyone with relevant information about Industry RE’s director, Ian Hamilton, or claims regarding the transfer of assets away from the UK business.”

For investors with a claim against Industry RE, or for anyone with information that may assist with the investigation, please contact the joint liquidators on [email protected], providing your full contact details for future correspondence.
