The latest analysis of published corporate insolvency statistics for 2014 reveals that Begbies Traynor has retained its position as the UK’s leading business recovery practice with regard to total corporate insolvency appointments.
Throughout 2014 the firm handled more than 1,000 new cases, including 915 liquidations and 121 company administrations, the most common types of formal insolvency procedure within the UK.
The research was undertaken using data provided by Dun & Bradstreet (comprising data sourced from Companies House, the London Gazette, the Edinburgh Gazette and the Belfast Gazette) as well as information from “Accountant in Bankruptcy” (official recorder of all corporate insolvency appointments in Scotland).
Julie is a law graduate who qualified with Price Waterhouse in 1994. Julie joined Smith & Williamson in 1997 and became a partner in 2001. With Mike Stevenson, Julie set up Middleton Partners offices in Salisbury and Southampton, both of which are now part of Begbies Traynor.
Julie is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and is a Fellow of The Association of Business Recovery Professionals. Julie deals with all aspects of Corporate Recovery and turnaround work and takes all form of personal insolvency appointments.
