Leading nationwide insolvency and business recovery specialist, Begbies Traynor, is building its presence in Maidstone with the addition of Mark Boast to its senior team.

Fully qualified and a seasoned insolvency professional with over 13 years of experience in the industry, Mark has joined the nationwide firm, which is based at Turkey Mill Business Park in the town.

His role will see him forge links with the business community across Maidstone, Kent and into Surrey to ensure Begbies Traynor is on hand to support companies facing financial difficulty in today’s uncertain economic climate.

On his role, Mark commented:

“Early advice is key in any financial situation and we are well positioned to act quickly when called upon to do so.  I am here to assist those directors who need practical advice and also to speak with the accountants and financial advisors that look after them in what is an increasingly difficult trading time.”

Jon Beard, partner and head of the Maidstone office, added:

“Mark is a hugely valuable addition to the team as we look to build relationships with more firms across multiple sectors in the region. It’s a particularly timely appointment given how challenging trading conditions are for many Kent businesses at the moment. Indeed, our latest figures show that the current uncertainty is having a real impact on companies of all kinds, with thousands currently in significant financial distress.

“That’s why it is more important than ever that companies receive good quality business recovery advice. Having access to the right guidance can help rescue even the most distressed company, to both preserve the business as a going concern, and help secure employment.”
