Jamie Taylor and Dominik Thiel-Czerwinke have been appointed as Administrators of Online Catering Limited t/a Juice Republic on 15th November 2010.
Online Catering Limited was originally founded in 2000 as a producer and specialist supplier of freshly squeezed (ultra fresh) fruit juice, smoothies and fruit segments acting as a wholesaler, supplying various hotels and restaurants in particular in the London area and we understand the company have developed a 5% share of this market.
Subsequently the company expanded further and launched its own brand under the name of ‘Juice Republic’ and we understand this is already listed by Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason and Harvey Nichols and a number of other prestigious retail operations. The company then had planned to expand the Juice Republic brand in the EU and USA and had obtained Trademark protection for Juice Republic in the UK, EU & USA.
The company produce their product range by cold pressing which is unique to the company which is the old fashioned way of making fruit juices and so maintain the quality, taste and vitamins in the juice. The juice is unpasteurised and no additives or preservatives are added in during the process. The juice, as it is a natural product, only has a shelf life of 7 days.
In addition the company were in the process of entering the bag in a box market sector and had hoped to bring in house the fruit salad business which was still outsourced. They were in the process of developing new vegetable and fruit drinks, smoothies etc and were planning to obtain a BRC accreditation.
The Company trades from premises located in Margate, Kent on a licence with the possibility of a formal lease being granted.
Filed accounts for June 2008 and 2009 indicate a turnover of £2.3million and £2.4million respectively
