Scott & Mears Credit Services Limited (the Company) entered Administration on 2 September 2025. Administrators from specialist insolvency firm Begbies Traynor have been appointed to manage the Company’s affairs, business and property.

Key things you should know

  • The Firm has ceased to trade. The Administrators are currently gathering information from the Firm and will be writing out to creditors in due course with their Proposals for the Administration. At this time we are unable to comment on the prospect of creditors receiving any money back from the Firm
  • Administration is a legal process. The Administrators are officers of the Court and their role is to realise the Company’s assets and distribute these to creditors.

Scams

All customers should be aware of the risk of fraud and scams. When a company enters an insolvency process fraudsters may sometimes approach customers claiming to be able to recover their money in return for a fee.

Sometimes the fraudsters claim to be from the Company or the Administrators’ office. You should be wary of any unexpected call, email or other contact which asks for money in this manner.

Please note that the Administrators will only use this webpage to provide updates and relevant information to clients. Should this position change we will notify all clients and other parties accordingly.

The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Joint Administrators who act as agents of the Company without personal liability. Louise Longley and Julian Pitts are authorised to act as insolvency practitioners by the Insolvency Practitioners Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, respectively.
