Biography

With a career spanning over two decades, Tom is a licensed insolvency practitioner with extensive expertise in a wide range of insolvency procedures across various sectors. Having started in the field of insolvency in 1997 with a mid-tier practice in Oxford, Tom qualified as an accountant (ACCA) in 2000.

Following a move to Brighton, Tom joined a top 10 firm, where he began as an administrator before progressing to the role of manager.

In 2004, Tom passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) qualification, making him a licensed insolvency practitioner. After joining a small independent firm in 2009, Tom was appointed as an appointment-taking partner in 2011, playing a key role in delivering expert advice and guidance to limited company directors facing financial distress. In November 2024, this firm was acquired by Begbies Traynor.

Throughout his career, Tom has gained experience in all types of insolvency procedures, working predominantly with owner-managed businesses across a diverse range of industries.
