Adam Shama

Adam is a licensed insolvency practitioner, qualified chartered accountant and Partner at BTG Begbies Traynor. He has more than 20 years’ experience across all aspects of corporate insolvency, personal insolvency, and business restructuring. Based in our London office, he provides advice to business owners, stakeholders, and legal professionals, with particular expertise across the retail, manufacturing, sports and technology sectors.

Adam has led a wide range of complex, high-profile and cross-border insolvency and restructuring engagements. His recent work includes the rescue of a multi-million pound leisure holding company, the trading administration of a high-end jewellery and AI business, and the rescue of a group of gym facilities.

He has particular experience in notable cases including the first ever court-appointed Receivership of a football club, a complex investigation into an alleged Ponzi scheme, and the administration of a taxi-sharing app.
