Administrators from corporate recovery specialists Begbies Traynor in Bristol have been appointed at a West Country bathroom supplier which trades from sites in Yate and Weston-Super-Mare.
The business, which traded as Yate Bathrooms and Weston Bathrooms, closed its doors a fortnight ago.
On Monday, April 4, Simon Haskew and Neil Vinnicombe of Begbies Traynor had formal court confirmation of their appointment as administrators to Yate Trading Centre Ltd which operated from Stover Road in Yate and Phillips Road, Weston-Super-Mare.
Simon Haskew said: “Yate has been a victim of the economic downturn and turnover has fallen considerably, resulting in the decision to call us in as administrators.
“We understand a number of customers have paid in advance for goods not yet delivered to them. We will be writing to these customers shortly following our appointment. Those customers who have paid by credit card should be able to make a claim against their credit card issuer under the Consumer Credit Act 1974.”
Simon has over 25 years mid-market corporate restructuring and insolvency experience across a wide range of industry sectors, as well as broad experience in all aspects of personal insolvency. He joined Begbies Traynor as a partner in 1999 after a formative career with Ernst & Young in Bristol and London. He is a member of the R3 General Technical Committee and recently served as the Examiner of the “rescue” paper for the JIEB exam.
