Richard Smethurst

Richard has been a tax practitioner since 1998 and is a member of both the Association of Taxation Technicians and The Institute of Chartered Tax Advisers. He was worked in a wide variety of tax disciplines, more recently advising owner managed businesses, particularly in the property sector, as well as managing the tax aspects of a number of corporate transactions including management buy-outs and Private Equity acquisitions and sales. Further to this, Richard has assisted numerous firms of accountants and solicitors with a wide array of complex tax issues affecting their clients. He is also responsible for managing the co-ordination of our international tax planning services, including maintaining close links with our sister office in Nicosia, Cyprus.
