The BTG Pensions Advisory team is lead by the former Head of Scheme Specific Funding at the Pensions Regulator and includes other members with direct regulatory experience. Its understanding of the regulatory process and scheme funding is second to none.
BTG Pensions Advisory assists Trustees by supporting them through the scheme funding process and with meeting the obligations imposed upon them by the Pensions Act 2004. Additionally we help them to meet the Pensions Regulator’s expectations of them in completing and monitoring that process as set out in its Codes of Practice and ongoing guidance.
With clear and concise reporting and recommendations, BTG Pensions Advisory assists Trustees in understanding the strength of the employer’s covenant, its current and projected financial position, what it can afford to make by way of cash contributions and what other security may be available to them to provide extra comfort whilst any existing scheme deficit is being rectified.
BTG Pensions Advisory also assists Trustees by providing advice on changes to the employer’s covenant caused by changes in the employer’s financial position between scheme valuations and in relation to proposed business transactions the employer intends to implement or is a party to any of which could weaken the pension schemes position.
