Surveillance
UK PLC
The Human Resources Director of a large group asked us to undertake surveillance on the Managing Director of one of the group's subsidiaries as there were concerns at board level that he was breaching his fiduciary duties.
Our research team quickly discovered that the MD's son ran a company from home which competed with that of his father. Further research established that the MD's wife was running an unrelated business in which her husband also held a Directorship.
Covert surveillance over several days produced video evidence of the MD and his son attending meetings with our client's customers. In addition, the surveillance team also filmed the MD buying items for his wife’s business from a number of commercial outlets.
We submitted our report and video evidence to the client. Because our evidence had been gathered in a way which met all regulatory standards our client was able to use it in formal disciplinary proceedings against the MD. He was found guilty of diverting the subsidiary's customers to his son’s company and was dismissed.
