Mark Whitaker Joins Begbies Traynor

Mark Whitaker, one of Yorkshire’s leading corporate bankers, is joining leading business rescue, recovery and restructuring specialist Begbies Traynor as director of business development.
Mr Whitaker joins from Santander, formerly Alliance and Leicester where he was head of West Yorkshire business centre and latterly, business development director. He also spent 25 years with Yorkshire Bank and headed up its corporate operation in Leeds.
In his new role, Mark will be based at Begbies Traynor’s Glendevon House office in Leeds and will be responsible for developing new business for the company throughout Yorkshire and the North East.
“With his 30 year career in corporate banking, Mark has a real understanding of the needs of business and a knack for bringing people together to create new opportunities,” explained Julian Pitts of Begbies Traynor in Leeds.
