Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic Community Football Club Ltd: Statement
Joint administrators Gerald Krasner and Julie Palmer from the business rescue and recovery specialist Begbies Traynor, confirm that Mr Jeff Mostyn is the preferred bidder for the acquisition of Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic Community Football Club Ltd.
Begbies Traynor can confirm that Mr Jeff Mostyn, who paid £80,000 so that commitment to pay wages could be met until the end of the season, is the preferred bidder with total exclusivity. The other two competing bids were rejected when promised sums were not forthcoming.
Gerald Krasner commented: “Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic Community Football Club has received a lifeline from Mr Jeff Mostyn, and its survival until the end of the season is now assured. The next two months will see ongoing discussions with the preferred bidder, with a view to ensuring all necessary documentation complies with football league regulations.”
The business rescue and recovery specialist was appointed on the 7th February by the Leeds High Court when Bournemouth FC found it had too much debt to sustain.
Begbies Traynor is part of the Begbies Traynor Group plc, an AIM listed specialist professional services organisation, providing independent professional advice and solutions to businesses, financial institutions, the accountancy and other professions and individuals in areas of finance, recovery, investigation and risk management, specialist financial advice and commercial finance.
